INFORMATION ABOUT ROUTINE ARRANGEMENTS FOR ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE FROM SCHOOL

For all children the gates will open to Salcey playground or the All-Weather Pitch at 8.40am and a whistle will be blown at 8.45am to signal for the children to line up. Children will then be walked to their classes by a member of staff. A teacher or teaching assistant will be in the classroom. Please do not arrive on the playground before 8.35am. Doors will remain open until 8.50am. The first teaching session begins at 9.00am.

Foundation Class should be collected at 3.10pm. All other children should be collected at 3.15pm by someone they are expecting.

At 3.15pm, the end of the school day, children may be collected by parents or other responsible assigned person, teachers go out onto the All-Weather pitch or Salcey playground at the end of the school day. Those who have parental consent are able to walk home independently. If nobody is on the playground at the end of the school day, children should return to the teacher on the playground. Any change to this daily routine should be reported via the school office by phone or via the child’s home school book.

Session times

8:40am School Gates open

8:45am Whistle blown for children to line up and staff to walk children into school.

8.55am: School day officially begins, followed by registration – the gates will be closed and any late children will have to report to the school office.

9.00am - 10.30am: Teaching sessions

10:15 – 10:30am:     Foundation/KS1 Break time

10.30am - 10.45am: KS2 Break time

10.45am - 12.00: Teaching sessions continue

12.00 - 1.00pm: Lunch break

1.00pm: Afternoon registration. Teaching sessions resume

3:05pm School Gates open for parents to wait on Salcey Playground or the All-Weather Pitch for their child to be brought to them.

3.10pm: School day ends for Foundation Stage

3.15pm School day ends for Years 1-6

3.20pm The gates will be closed and locked
