On Wednesday, the whole school enjoyed a visit from representatives of Volkswagen. The children attended an assembly where they learned about what VW does, the wide range of careers available, and the cars they manufacture. Each year group then took part in a car-themed activity: KS1 created junk models, Lower KS2 explored sustainability, and Upper KS2 designed a car based on a customer specification.
A particular highlight for the children was the opportunity to explore the cars themselves, sitting inside, examining the controls and, much to our neighbours’ dismay, testing out the horns! It was a fantastic day that was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
