Dear all,
The Year 6 team are excited to announce that we are planning to hold a Year 6 Careers Week during Summer 2, with activities taking place during the week beginning 15th June 2026.
As part of this exciting opportunity, we would love to invite any parents, carers or stakeholders to come into school and share their career experiences with our Year 6 children. We are hoping to give pupils an inspiring insight into the wide variety of jobs and opportunities that could be available to them in the future.
Whether your career is something highly specialised or something more general, we would be delighted to hear from you. Every role has something valuable and interesting to offer, and we know the children would benefit hugely from hearing about different career journeys, skills and experiences.
Volunteers could choose to support in a variety of ways, including:
- Delivering a short talk to a class or group
- Leading an assembly
- Running a practical activity or workshop
...or a combination of the above
If you are interested in volunteering at any point during the week beginning 15th June 2026, please contact: emma.norris@hanslope.milton-keynes.sch.uk or speak to a member of the Year 6 team with:
- Your job role/profession
- The type of activity you may be able to offer
- Your availability during the week
