With hot weather forecast for this week, we would like to make a few temporary adjustments to help keep children comfortable and safe while at school.
To help children stay cool, we are inviting all pupils to wear their PE kit for the entire week. Please ensure that clothing is suitable for the weather and that children wear appropriate footwear.
We would also ask, as always but particularly this week, that all KS2 children bring a named water bottle to school each day and come to school wearing sun cream. KS1 children will continue to have access to their water bottles throughout the day as normal. Children are also encouraged to bring a named hat or cap to wear outdoors.
Throughout the week, we will be limiting the amount of time children spend outside during the hottest parts of the day. When outdoors, children will be encouraged to stay in shaded areas as much as possible and staff will ensure that children have regular opportunities to drink water.
